Its late at night. Silence spreads through the recently bustling streets of Delhi. Taking a small turn from the Ring Road and you reach a world completely different. The hustle of this place will immediately catch your eye. The Hudson Lane, located in close proximity to Delhi University, is a foodie's hub and a sought-after destination among university students and youngsters as a whole. Its lit up and active almost till midnight.
At the end of the road you'll find  a hoarding with the words 'Big Yellow Door' written  with a wine glass for the 'Y' of Yellow. Its definitely something that would seem inviting and tempting on a quiet night. Trust me, it is.

Now the location of this place is a matter of  little concern as there is possibly no actual way to find a proper place to park your car. This region is filled with restaurants like this one, so your chances of getting a place to park your car really decrease during peak hours. But this isnt that big of an issue as the residents of the surrounding areas are quite friendly and cooperating.
They'd easily let you park your vehicle in front of their houses. OR WOULD THEY?

I'll be honest with you, the waiting time for this eatery can get really long, especially during peak hours. But waiting outside is actually quite enjoyable with a water misting fan attached in a corner and two long wooden benches kept in front of each other. The benches are painted with a pattern resembling the keys of a piano and are covered with umbrellas. The maximum waiting time can be around 50 mins. But, if you're lucky or you come at  a time when everyone stays at home, you might not have to wait outside and directly get in the cafeteria.

Once in, its a different place altogether. There's music playing  and there are the noises of happening conversations. The staff is helpful and polite. Looking around you will notice the unique designs on the walls and around. The place is cozy and comfortable. You can enjoy the fairy lights during the evening. It has quite a cutesy decor with lighted mason jars and bottles. You may also find many handcrafted decorative items. There is a giant wall on one side which has sticky notes pasted with people's experiences and messages written on them.

Now when it comes to actually ordering the food there are a few things that you need to try.

Cheesy nachos with Salsa Sauce and Mayo - This thing is literally going to make you drool with guilt with the XTRA! cheese  and sauces that they add to the nachos. Must have!

BOMB burger   - This beats all other burgers you could possibly have in Hudson Lane. It comes with two dips and a dash of chips. It will satisfy all your your burger cravings for a long time. Seriously.

Watermelon Mojito - Its essentially your average mojito, served in a giant watermelon. You should definitely try this as a side drink.

Chilli Chicken Spaghetti -  Its spicy chicken served in a sauce with garlic bread as side. If you crave spicy food, then this  must-have for you.

Oreo Shake - BYD is famous for its shakes. They serve the best Oreo Shake in town. '

There is something for everyone here. Whenever you come here, you are sure to leave satisfied and full. Very full.
